Cedar Pines Retreat | Walk to Zoo & Bear Mountain

Welcome to Cedar Pines Retreat, an authentic 798-square-foot mountain cottage that captures the nostalgic spirit of “Old Big Bear.” Surrounded by towering pines in peaceful lower Moonridge, this charming Big Bear cabin offers rustic comfort near Bear Mountain Resort, the Big Bear Alpine Zoo, local shops, restaurants, hiking trails, the lake, and The Village. The Big Bear Alpine Zoo is approximately 0.3 mile away, while Bear Mountain Resort and the Moonridge commercial area are also within walking distance. Whether you are planning a ski trip, family getaway, summer lake vacation, or quiet mountain retreat, Cedar Pines provides a convenient home base for exploring Big Bear Lake. Single-Story Comfort The cabin features a single-level interior, allowing guests to move easily between the living room, kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, and back deck without interior stairs. Its practical layout is especially convenient for families with young children and guests who prefer uncomplicated, single-story living.

Cozy Living Room Gather in the welcoming living room after a day on the slopes or lake. Comfortable seating surrounds a warm gas fireplace, while vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, and natural wood accents create the classic atmosphere of a cabin in the woods. A flatscreen television with cable provides entertainment for relaxed evenings, and high-speed WiFi makes it easy to stream, stay connected, or work remotely.

Fully Equipped Kitchen
The open kitchen includes the cookware, dishes, utensils, and appliances needed to prepare meals at home. A breakfast bar and dining table for four provide comfortable spaces for morning coffee, family dinners, and après-ski snacks. A dishwasher makes cleanup quick and convenient.

Sleeping Arrangements – 2 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms
Cedar Pines Retreat accommodates up to four guests in two private bedrooms.
Primary Bedroom The primary bedroom features a queen-size bed, private television, ensuite full bathroom, and direct access to the redwood deck. Step outside in the morning and enjoy your coffee among the surrounding pine trees.
Second Bedroom The second bedroom includes a queen-size bed and convenient access to the full hallway bathroom.
An in-home washer and dryer make it easy to refresh clothing, towels, and outdoor gear during longer Big Bear stays.
Private Fenced Yard and Deck The spacious, fully fenced backyard offers a secure outdoor area where children and approved pets can play. Unlike many steep mountain properties, the yard is relatively flat and easy to enjoy.

Relax on the redwood deck beneath the pines, gather around the outdoor seating, or prepare dinner on the propane BBQ. It is an inviting setting for peaceful mornings, afternoon cookouts, and evenings beneath the Big Bear stars.

Parking and Location
The flat, paved driveway accommodates up to two vehicles and provides convenient access throughout the year.
From the cabin, guests can walk to the Big Bear Alpine Zoo, neighborhood cafés, shops, and Bear Mountain Resort. Snow Summit, Big Bear Lake, grocery stores, restaurants, and The Village are only a short drive away.
